Mrs Alice Shanks (PT Computing) has elected to join the Wind Down Scheme. She will take up a part time post in the Computing department of St Andrews Academy, Saltcoats in August. Mrs Janice Ramsay (at present PT Computing in Irvine Royal Academy) will replace Mrs Shanks.

Alice Shanks has taught in Ardrossan Academy since 1974 when she joined the Mathematics department. In 1986 she took on responsibility for the Computing department and was appointed PT in the early 90s.

She has fond memories of the many pupils she has had the pleasure of teaching and helping to achieve their goals.

Mrs Shanks would like to thank all her colleagues, past and present, for their support and friendship over many years and wishes Ardrossan Academy well in the future.
